De'Longhi TCH7090ERD Safe Heat 1500W Ceramic Tower Heater with Remote control and ECO setting

This is a great heater. Has temp thermostat settings from the 60s-70s so when it reaches desired temp it turns off until it senses the room has gotten below the set temp and then kicks on again, a timer up to 12 hrs, a great knock over feature (turns off when knocked over) which is good for being in the baby's room, a remote (which we really don't use but could be a perk for others), has a setting to keep a room from freezing (set to kick on if a room gets below 45 degrees). Pretty nifty little heater.Only con: when set at a degree, 68 for instance, the heater heats the room to 71-72 without fail. So the thermostat must read a few degrees off but really not that big of an issue, we just set the thermostat lower so it doesn't heat it as high. Also, it has helped to unplug the heater every now and then to sort of "reset" the thermostat. Seems to help.

 The heater just stopped working after one month- and things break, nothing is perfect- I get that. What I can't understand is the company's refusal to just send me a new one. Instead, they insisted on endless donotrpley emails, phone calls and troubleshooting. This an enormous multinational corporation and the right way to handle this is just to FedEx me a heater which can't cost them more than $10 to make in China and leave it at that. We've had a cold March (11 degrees sometimes) and the company has done nothing.

I was looking for a little heater to take the chill off while watching TV or in my office where a throw is not practical.I was actually surprised at this little heater.The remote is really handy. It really puts out nice heat that you can control with temperature gauge and fan speed.I would not recommend this heater if you are looking to heat an entire room of any size but to warm your surrounding area it is ideal. Lots of nice features (too many for my use but they are there if you want).Operation is virtually silent so for sleeping you'll like it. Oscillation is a great feature that you can turn off or on. It is attractive so should fit with any decor.There is no assembly or set up. Just take it out of the box and plug it in. You may want, however, to read through the instructions to learn about all of the features available.Purchased through Amazon.com with 2 day delivery. Great on time arrival.I highly recommend this little heater.

These are great safe heaters. My bedroom on the second floor is over the garage. In the winter , I turn this heater on for an hour before bed and my whole big bedroom is toasty warm.

This heater has helped me live comfortably in a tent in a hanger....and nowon a live a board sailboat.......never have had a heater that isso consistent and well designed. Oh yes....almost forgot....I actuallylived in a 2 bedroom apartment in North Carolina....closed off the unusedbedroom permanently, then at night put it in the master bedroom with thedoor closed. During day and evening closed the master bedroom doorput it in the combo living room and kitchen....kept warm and cozy at 70 myelectric bill went from $120 a month to $55 max.....only one littledetail.....my unit needs to be set at 72 or 73 to maintain 70. Buy it.

It's inexpensive. Not the greatest product, because it is loud when it turns on. The temperature is also off by 4 degrees probably because the sensor is close to the heating element. I wish it has a constant fan mode so it doesn't wake me when it turns on.

I bought two of these for bedrooms and they work fine. The remote is a nice feature and they put out enough heat to work in most small to medium-size rooms. With enough time, they can work in larger rooms as well, but I recommend going with something larger for rooms bigger than 12x12.One area where this product could be improved or changed is in the fan noise level. It's not loud, but it's not quiet. When I first used it in my bedroom, the fan sound would wake me up when it came on. I think I'm use to it at this point, but it could be quieter.Overall a really great product for the money.

I purchased the De'Longhi TCH7090ERD Ceramic Tower Heater from Amazon in January 2016. Less than one month later the smell of overheating electrical wires awoke me before dawn. While searching for the source I heard the over-heating cut-off alarm beep from this heater. It did shut itself off and I was thankful but terrified. Amazon promptly replaced the defective heater with another just like it. De'Longhi TCH7090ERD Ceramic Tower Heater Within three weeks it overheated as well during the night while I slept. Once again, the heater cut itself off but the burning smell filled the room. I would not trust this heater ever again. I have had much satisfaction with De'Longhi products in the past so I'm not sure what is the problem with this style. I have returned the product and received a refund from Amazon.
