In the description it clearly states that it does not support audio, as well as on some questions that were answered. I purchased this item assuming I would only be able to charge the iPod on my Sony Dock station and not be able to hear music, so I purchased an AUX cable to go with this. When I received it I connected my iPod to the adapter and placed in on the dock station. I thought I would try to play music from my iPod before plugging in the AUX cable, to my surprise it works and sounds amazing, able to skip and pause tracks. Don't know if it will work for every dock station, but my model is a Sony ICF-CS15iPN.

This adapter is better than the many 30 pin chargers I’ve bought. It can be removed from ipad without the cover coming apart like others. Also like that it can be left plugged into the ipad and unplug the lightning plug from it if you prefer.

Had an old phone I put back into use and didn't want to haul the old style charger cable around so am using this one. Its okay, but a bit large. I've been leaving it in the phone as it doesn't get carried much but if you were carrying it you'd have to take it out and then its just something else to lose. Works as expected, just charges the phone. It asked for a rating for "sheerness" not sure what they mean by that, its not sheer and I can't see through it

...it works as advertised!!!! Short sweet & to the point!! From moment I plugged into my ipad3..& connected to my “authorized charge cord”.. it immediately began to give power as advertised....I bot a correct charge cord...previously....that after 3days of being connected...still hadn’t moved the charge dial one bit!!I’m going to buy a “backup “.. to carry w/ me.. it’s sooo good !!! I don’t normally do that ...!

Work very well for old apple devices like iPod and iPad. Help a lot when travel. You don’t need to brings or buy old style chargers any more. Also you can't complain with the price.Work good with my device and I'm happy with this shopping.

I have purchased 3-4 of these. They are super compact and operate as advertised. I wouldn't consider a similar product.

Works perfectly, no issues. I connected it to my lightning cord and charged my iPad 2 easily.

Yay! Finally something that works to charge our iPad 3. Even the cable directly from Apple wouldn’t work. But this does. We leave it in (case is around it) then just plug in a lightning cable to it to charge. Kind of pricey for an adapter, but works and nothing else did.
