My first impression of this beveler/planer was YAY! It's well made, definitely solid, is a good size for hands like mine (petite adult) to handle while chamfering soap. It was immediately obvious something was wrong with the blade when it left drag marks along the soap's edges. I used a screwdriver to carefully test the screws holding the blade in place and found they were secure. To double check, I used the same smooth-surface soap bar and tried to plane it and found it left drag marks from one side of the bar to the other. That's when I realized the razor's edge has several little nicks along its edge (two very distinct) and cannot be used to plane a soap. I can't tell if it was used when I got it or if the manufacturer of the blade just failed to get a smooth, straight edge, but either way I need to figure out whether or not to keep it. I'll update this review once the decision is made.

This company went above and beyond to help fix a problem~ The wire broke on the soap cutter, and the company reached out to me to fix/resolve the issue~ Because I already had blades for cutting my soap, they went above what I expected and sent me something that I could use. They didn't ask for me to return the broken item. I have attached an image of the item set they had sent me in place. I am so very happy and I am definitely happy to see a company do this for their customers. The new item arrived quickly and in great condition. Everything as mentioned was there and works great. The soap tray is made of silicone which I absolutely love as it's easier to remove the soap once it's ready. The mini spatula came in handy to get the little bit extra out so no soap was going to waste. Just the entire set was amazing! The small silicone molds that came with it are decent size, not too big or too small and super cute~ Worked great for left over soap flow~ Truly happy with everything~ I'll be leaving a review on the actual product~ This is for how the company handled my situation! YES THEY CARE! GREAT COMPANY!

I needed a planner/beveler in a hurry because I was having issues with my other one. I wasn't sure that this one could be adjusted. It was shaving off a lot off my soap. I looked at several other planner/bevelers and read the reviews to see if they could be adjusted and found out that it could. After adjusting the blade it is working beautifully.

Very easy to use and clean, the blade was very easy to adjust to the size and shape of my soaps. I love how the groves in the top of the planer helps bevel the soap perfectly. The only con I would mention is that the blade is extremely sharp and it would have been nice to include a warning label on the cutter itself but other than that this is a great product and very much worth the money.During shipping my oils exploded in the box so I had to clean castor, safflower and coconut oil off the cutter first!

This was for my daughter, the first time she used it the plastic or acrylic cracked and broke. So that was that. We wont know if it worked well or not.

Mine is broken. The first was broken before it got to me and it was replaced. Now that is broken.

The adjustable blade cannot be adjusted. One side is higher and cuts soap unevenly. I tried to adjust but was unable to make the blade even.
