Treated mold issue in my attic
I didn't see may reviews using it for mold, but decided to give it a shot. My attic (flat roof, ave height 21" with 15" fiberglass batt insulation) had bad mold smell from some roof leaks. The smell infiltrated into my 3rd floor and ductwork. Mold remediators said they had to take several air samples costing $800 before they'd give me an estimate. The usual solution was to rip down sheetrock and insulation, likely even in walls, and maybe rip out carpet and discard furniture. They they would treat attic, walls, etc. using air cleaners, hazmat suits, etc. Ach!! I ran the generator for 3 hr in each of 4 places in the attic, raising above insulation (ozone is heavier than air so place generator high). After the first one, the air smelled normal. I ran in the other 3 attic spots and in all the rooms on the 3rd floor. I turned off the AC so it wouldn't infiltrate the house, until the final treatment (to get the ducts). It's been about 2 weeks and the attic still smells fresh. It seems like the ozone goes thru painted sheetrock and down framing to some extent, based on odor (it smells). I tried to be careful about breathing ozone and left the house when it smelled strong. I did have a scratchy throat afterwards. I'm anxious to see if the mold was killed or if it grows back over time. I'll try to write an update in a month or so to say whether it did. The generator instructions don't say much about using it. I did a lot of research online to find out how. Ozone will kill mold if concentration is high enough for long enough. Ozone may damage plastic coating on wiring, plants, organic material like rubber (gaskets?) and oxidize metal. A corrosive expert told me he didn't think it would harm plastic flexduct. I don't see any damage on anything so far.

9,000 mg unit.
I don't write many reviews and I prefer to read reviews from people who have used a product for a while but for this I need to make an exception. I can't speak for the longevity of the unit, I have only had it a couple days. The only way to describe it, is that this is nothing short of amazing. I bought this for bad pet smells, as in urine. It's a long story but I own a house that severely smelled of ammonia from dog urine, to the point where you couldn't breathe. It not only took care of the urine smell, it also took out the stale smell from smoking cigarettes. I have tried all kinds of chemical treatments for pet urine and nothing has worked like this. This house is probably going to take several treatments but the improvement in just a couple is absolutely amazing. You can't imagine how bad it was. I don't have asthma but I now know how someone with it feels.Yes, ozone smells different and it lingers for a little bit but it goes away quickly, 90% in a few hours and the rest in a day. I have not used it in the worst part of the house yet, as I have to pull up carpet, but the results so far give me faith that the house is salvageable. If something changes, I will update but at this point, all I can say is "Wow".

A monster
I love this thing. Background story: I bought a house to flip, but the house had been heavily smoked in. I did a bunch of research and found ozone generator are used in fire damaged or water damaged (mold) houses. So I came up with a good plan to rid the house of the cigarette smoke smell.1) Immediately rip up and remove all carpet. The stank will never leave if you don't do this.2) Proceed to wash the walls AND ceilings with a cleaning agent. I used TSP (tri sodium phosphate)3) Wash all surfaces, windows, cabinets, tiled floors, wood floors, light fixtures, etc. with the appropriate cleaning agent. I used a bleach mixture on kitchen and bathroom tiled floors, then used a vinegar based solution on cabinets and such. Also used some lysol multi surface cleaners in a lot of areas.4) After everything was washed (including ceilings), I flicked the switch on the ceiling fan blades to reverse the airflow upwards and busted out the Enerzen ozone generator. I sealed up each room and ran 1 hour treatments in each room until every room had been treated. The smell was virtually gone at this point. I honestly couldn't tell it had ever been smoked in. Also, I used a box fan to blow the ozone into the ceiling fans and let it bloom down throughout the rooms. Remember, ozone is heavier than air. You need to get it up high so it can properly disperse and eliminate everything.4) Then, I started priming everything with Kilz original primer. This is an oil based primer that seals walls up so if that if you happen to have tar and tobacco and nicotine still on the walls, it will be blocked.5) After everything was primed, including ceilings, I painted everything like normal. Some ceiling white on the ceilings and some good neutral colors on the walls.6) Then I installed some hardwood, carpet, and various other new flooring.Everyone said the house smelled like a fresh new house. It was amazing. The turning point was obviously after the ozone treatments. I can't believe I got such a powerful ozone generator for so cheap. This thing kicked some serious butt. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. 5/5. If you are doing a cigarette smoked in house rehab, you NEED this thing!!!

Warning not safe for humans, animals, plants to breathe
Limited to how long this can be used due to clock work timer. If you wanted to use this at a set time (like 2 hours after you left the building) it can not be done with the timer fitted. Also this is harmful to breathe in so has to be used when not around and well ventilated after use, so limits when and can not be used.
