Wood Cutting Board: Learn How to Care for It, and You've Got a Kitchen Soul-Mate
I received a lovely Chicago Cutlery knife set for Christmas, and I purchased this acacia wood cutting board set to replace my cheap plastic cutting boards, which can damage and dull sharp blades. After doing a little research, I learned that wood is even better than bamboo when it comes to cutting board quality and how good it is to your knife blade, and that acacia is a solid choice without having to spend a lot on a pricier wood like walnut.A few points on proper care, if you are new to wood cutting boards like I was. Before even using these boards, I purchased food-grade mineral oil (link here: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B5ECU3O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and treated the cutting boards. Basically I laid down a trash bag on the kitchen counter, slathered on mineral oil till the boards were 100% covered, and let them sit overnight. I washed them gently with dish soap and towel dried them. They were slightly oily to the touch, but this sensation faded after the first 2 or 3 subsequent washings.I've oiled them once since, after the knife marks started to get prominent. For my second oiling I used much less oil and just rubbed it in by hand until I felt I had treated enough of the cut-up, exposed wood. I can already see how important this process is to the health of the cutting board. It "heals" the knife marks and wards off water damage. In terms of other care tips, I never ever put them in the dish washer, but I wash them with warm soapy water and a washrag and dry them immediately to avoid water damage. The boards themselves are a dream! They are INCREDIBLY handsome, well-crafted with a multi-toned grain and a lovely sheen. I keep them out on the counter, nested vertically inside a metal napkin holder that just happens to be the perfect size. The sizes are perfect for every kitchen task. They have not stained, nor suffered any kind of damage aside from the usual knife cuts...which, as you can see by my pictures, are greatly diminished by a little oiling. They are very pleasant to use, and they look good enough to use as a serving board. They make me feel like a fancy chef. I'm counting on these boards lasting me for years.

Best purchase in a long while.
I've always bought cheap cutting boards but after using these I am so glad I spent a few extra bucks. The boards are beautiful, and at $13 apiece the price is more than fair. Acacia is becoming one of the top choices for cutting board wood and it's much cheaper than maple. I can't explain how the knife feels when it hits this wood, let's just say it feels REALLY good. Also, I wanted a set of three, I love having different sizes, and was looking for boards that were reversible like these, with a flat side and a side with a drip tray. I flipped the boards over in my first two pictures to show the different sides; in the third picture I tried to display the thickness of the boards. They're very sturdy, slightly heavy but not too heavy, and each one is unique in its coloration which adds to the beauty of the set. I highly recommend buying food grade mineral oil to treat the boards with if you want them to last. The oil protects the wood from splitting and waterproofs it - this prevents bacteria from seeping in, and as you can see in the pictures it really makes the wood shine! It's very easy. All you have to do is rub the oil on with a rag and let the board sit for several hours; both bottles I bought had the instructions on the bottle. And if you buy oil, check the prices - small high dollar bottles pop up first, but if you look you can find 5-star 32 oz. bottles for around $10 or $12 (live and learn, I said I bought two bottles). Bottom line, I love my cutting boards and so does my wife. Thanks for listening, sorry I'm so long-winded.

Durable and Nicely Designed
Love these cutting boards - they are durable and very nicely designed. I already used them a bunch for cutting and they have held up well. Plus, the design is attractive enough to use them for presenting food at a dinner. Well done!!

Not for actual kitchen use.
These are decent, I would say they don’t last long at all. Even with only handwashing them after three months the medium board completely broke in half, and the large board is too wobbly to chop on. Because they aren’t solid wood and they are actually just planks of wood glued together, after a while they start to separate and fall apart. They are pretty to look at but not for every day/ actual kitchen use. I would say they may be good for a charcuterie board or chopping herbs here and there.

Beautiful Set Of Cutting Boards
This set of cutting boards is just beautiful and a reasonable price for the quality as well. I added a set of rubber feet to the bottom to keep them from sliding on the counter tops, but other than that I am very happy with this purchase. They were a wonderful addition to my kitchen.

Lasted less than 3 months!
The largest of these 3 cutting boards arrived with the smallest crack at one end. I should have returned it. Now after 3 months all 3 have major cracking - the wood slats have separated. All 3 are warped too! I have taken care of these, followed the instructions by oiling them with coconut oil when they dried out not letting them sit in water and drying them thoroughly immediately after cleaning. I have another wooden cutting board that has lasted 7 years with no damage and with less care! Don't waste your money on these.

Holding up great
I got these cutting boards as a gift for my sister. They're great cutting boards and look beautiful. I also purchased an oil and conditioner for these boards, which has helped keep their quality up nicely! Definitely recommend.
