If I can do it so can you!
I have never fixed an iPad screen before. I had already taken the screen to a repair shop and then my son cracked it again but this time causing a hole. I didn’t want to spend another $100 on a screen where I had taken it before, so I took the chance on this kit. I figured what the heck did I really have anything to lose at this point. I watched the video multiple times and I will say it was not detailed enough. I watched some other you tube videos to help me. I took my time and it did take about 2.5 hours. Getting the adhesive off and cleaning that up took me along time. Goo gone worked much better than alcohol. I used the alcohol after the goo gone to take the oily residue off. I was successful in my repair so I feel like anyone can do it as long as you’re patient and careful.

Service and followup were excellent
I ordered a new screen for my i pad. After installing the new screen the "log in" would sometimes not enter the number when I pressed it and at other times it would enter the number multiple times. I contacted the seller through the email on their warranty card. They were very prompt in answering all of my emails. They recommended a couple of things to try and fix the problem. I tried them and they did not fix the problem. I emailed the seller and they immediately sent out a new screen. After installing the new screen it worked great, Remember: THE INSTRUCTIONS TELL YOU THE FINGERPRINT READER WILL NOT WORK ON THIS SCREENI have several suggestions on installing the screen:(1) the shards of glass and the old adhesive are your enemy. You need to remove all of the adhesive and the glass shards or you run the risk of cracking your new screen. It will also block some of the new adhesive from sticking to the i pad frame. When you are removing the old adhesive I recommend using 90% rubbing alcohol, q tips, canned air, a small flat head screwdriver, and a magnifying glass. Blow out the i pad with the canned air. Use the air first when trying to remove anything from the i pad, especially the screen and LCD. Take your time removing the adhesive. you don't want to damage the i pd I used a magnifying glass to check the area around the perimeter to make sure it was perfectly clean(2) Attaching the three connectors with pins: I found it easier to place the screen horizontally on a clean microfiber cloth and the i pad and LCD were placed in a vertical position, with something supporting them. I used a headlamp and looking down the surface of the I pad, I could see both the male and female connectors. I was able to line them up and pressed them in.(3) I used magnifying glasses when I removed and installed the screws, Since the screws were different sizes, I put each size in small plastic container and sealed them, They are very small and are easy to lose. I did all my work on the i pad in a shallow plastic pan. When I dropped one of the screws it was in the i pad or in the pan,. (On an earlier project involving tiny screws I did not use a pan and one of the screws ended up on the floor. I spent a lot of time finding it.)These screws go into an aluminum frame and they are easy to cross thread. I start the screw by going counter-clockwise until I feel a click. Then I very gently go clockwise to make sure I am not cross threading the screw.(4) The sellers have a video on how to install the screen on their Amazon site. Review it several times. You may want to view other YouTube sites to see how other persons replace the screen on an i pad.If I had to do it all over again - I would!

It Worked Perfectly
Exactly what you'd expect. The screen plastics were a bit scratched but there was no damage on the actual glass. Touch sensitivity is just like normal. The adhesive worked fantastic for me when making sure it was removed only right before use. Can't complain about it! Looked great, fit great, and had a typical screen thickness.

Exactly What I Needed
Really not so difficult. I wish the How To video didn’t skip steps, but it’s really a fairly simple process to replace. The price point is fantastic.

Saved us from getting a new iPad
Value for money:My husband was able to replace my iPad screen in about 90minutes with the instruction video provided. It was his first time doing something like this. He said the instruction video was great, but the paper instructions were lacking a bit. All in all, my iPad works again! It also came with a new screen protector which was a great value add.

Replacement screen
Just bring your device to a technician as this don’t make sense and it’s not so easy to figure out. Bubble rap was great . If you know how to use this is a great value for the money. It was the right size and everything but I was not able to make it function. Screen was good and clean also.
