I didn’t expect it to be that GOOD! I mean for the price and the size it does the job. I love to take pictures with the flash it gives a nice vintage effect. A super plus is the size, you can bend it and carry it with the camera so it makes it super easy to bring it everywhere 😍

My camera does not have built in flash, which is OK:Built in flashes get blocked out by lenses. I have that problem with other cameras.Most standard flashes are very tall, and great for studio use, but not practical for travel, or quick setup.Most need batteries.This (branded) flash communicates correctly with the camera and doesn’t need any batteries.It adds a little height above the camera, so can clear most lenses at portrait distances.I have an X-T5, which has plenty of sensitivity, but this helps in low to average light with an unstable subject (such as a 4-year-old who cannot stay completely still).So,I used it on a clothing photoshoot for a small business with “little kids dresses”. The client was very pleased with the results.I would not use this for very close subjects (may not clear the les) or to light up a distant object.

If simplicity and reliability are your goals, here, and this is the perfect little flash. No, it doesn’t tilt or bounce, but it does provide you that essential bit of light that you need when you need it. Also, it’s powered by the camera, so there are no batteries to worry about. Works great.

Small external flash for my X-E4 works perfectly! Hard to find in brand new condition so the 2 week wait for a unit from Japan was definitely worth it.

It is nifty when taking portraits outdoor as a fill light. It’s too weak for indoor use but can be a convenient trigger for other flash units.
