Your kids will love this! Such a great experience!
I purchased this for my kids daycare and man was it a hit! When it arrived the caterpillars were still alive and the kids got to watch and experience the life cycle. So amazing!!! All items can be used again and just will have to purchase new caterpillars. So happy with this!!!

Classroom must have!
These were so fun and engaging to do with my 1st grade classroom. The kids were so involved in the process and learned so much through he experience. Definitely a spring semester staple. The whole kit will be reusable year after year, just buy new caterpillars. Great value or for the memories and education.

5 stars
Such an amazing kid friendly butterfly habitat. I got this for Kwanza for my 4yr old niece and she loved it! She sat and watched the caterpillars eat and grow in size in just 2 weeks as the directions say! I will say it comes with about 10 caterpillars which is 5 in each up. In both cups i had 1 caterpillar die so we ended up only releasing 8 butterflies. But we are still very delighted at the project. Instructions say they guarantee 3/5 caterpillars will last if stored properly and it has lived up to the guarantee! Will be purchasing again for my niece and another for my kindergarten class! It also comes with a super cool book for the kids to read about the butterfly cycle and once you release your butterflies there is an award on the back to reward your little entomologist!

Must have!
The media could not be loaded. Our son did this while in school but it died. He was heartbroken. These were literally the only place that'd I could find online and near by. No one else has these! The learning book for this was awesome! We tracked everything daily for a little over 2 weeks. Only two had died total which wasn't bad. We had a total of 8! It'd been years since I did this and I had just as much fun as they did. Once we brought them outside after about 3-4 days (some took longer to hatch) they immediately started fluttering around the bag and were excited to leave. They didn't stick around but it was a beautiful thing to see from beginning to end. Will buy over & over!

Great Experience
This was a great learning opportunity for my students. My kit of 10 caterpillars arrived quickly, and on Friday at the end of February. After the weekend they began moving and eating. They shed their skin multiple times and began leaving silky threads. Some of the pupa didn’t stay hanging. I debated on whether to leave them or try to reattach them to the lid. I ended up reattaching the fallen ones but lost track of which ones they were. Overall 7/10 emerged from their chrysalis and were released! My TK students loved watching the process and learned so much!

Two DOA, only two remaining. One chrysalis and one trying...
We have ordered and successfully release butterflies before. The first time my kids were young (3,3, &4) and all the caterpillars were able to be released as butterflies. This time, two of the caterpillars were dead when we got the cups. Three died shortly after. One tried to eat the another and both of them died the next day. That leaves us with three. One made it to the top and turned into a chrysalis. Two days later another crawled to the top and kept pestering the first one. He spun silk and hooked the bottom of the chrysalis to the top of the cup, so it is now hanging sideways. He then hung himself and is trying to turn into a chrysalis. We have one remaining at the bottom that is looking a little sad. I am not very optimistic that we will release anything. After almost $50 and there very disappointed children...I can't find a contact number for the company.
