Well made and fit my grill perfectly.

It works-it fits but if your old heat indicator was never changed in your 30 year old cast aluminum grill be prepared for at least a half hour job, requiring a very powerful electric drill and expendable cobalt drill bits. The old heat gauge nuts were frozen and impossible to unscrew. First, you needed to smash the glass on the old heat gauge and tear the gauge away leaving the frozen nuts and securing bolts. Then drill and drill and drill. If you removed the grill cover first it would be easier to drill out the securing screws but the way its attached on an in ground installed grill, it would make the job take longer so that was not a wise option. But once the old gauge was out, securing the new gauge that fit perfectly was easy as pie.

This appears to be better than the original as the sensing element is sealed. The original had an opened element that eventually clogged with grease.

I put this on my outdoor grill and it died after about six months. Weather did it in, and that is not supposed to happen. The weather in my area is not that extreme.

I find this Heat Indicator device more accurate than what Broilmaster put in originally. Great value. Preforms well. I have had this in for over two years now.
