It works great and a good price and I ended up buying a ton more to wrap my whole exhaust for accurate egt readings. Being ender my car right behind the front tire and being religiously washed (full stainless exhaust), it has held up fantastic! Like really! It has turned Grey ish but all of em do it and it honestly looks pretty cool. Heads up, when you put it on, smoke is normal. Had a friend who used it and did not know that. All of em do it, it is an moisture in the wrap. 10 out of 10 but wear gloves!!!!! The fiberglass is not fun!😅

This was easy to install and it seems to work, greatly reducing radiated heat. The material is not particularly durable. It tears on sharp edges. Its the sort of thing that you might need to re-do periodically. I do not fault the material. I believe this is how it is. Also be aware that it is indeed fiberglass. You will want to use gloves. It is fairly flame proof. I tested a piece with a torch, heating it way over exhaust temperature and it did not burn, but it seemed to weaken. Also, it does seem prone to fading. Some advice I saw to apply exhaust paint to it after installation will help retain the dark color. That seemed to work. After wrapping two 36" headers generously, I still had more than half a roll left.

Good and thick, easy install, great price

This stuff works and the stainless bands work fine, but it is much tougher to handle than the titanium type, It feels like little bits break off and stick into your skin. Wear gloves!

Looks good holds up well

Bought this to save some money. I've installed this stuff wet and dry. I don't think it made that much of a difference. Wet may have prevented the fiberglass fibers from embedding in your skin and irritating. Wear rubber gloves with this stuff and buy extra stainless zipties and the tool to tighten them. It has lasted a long time and my headers didn't rust out. It took 2 1/2 rolls to do a set of headers for a dodge 360. It may not take you as much or more depending on how you wrap them. I also wrap my oil hoses for my remote oil filter and fuel lines with this stuff.

I wrapped it on my new exhaust for my car. I have an 87 Fiero GT and the engine compartment gets really hot how I thought it would help reduce some of the heat soak from the cross over pipe. As soon as I turned on the engine to let it run to check for exhaust leaks it started smoking and melting on my exhaust. In the end I had to cut it all off.

What can really be said, this wrap works a treat when insulating my car exhaust system.On a standard mild steel exhaust it's not a good option due to the wrap holding water against the steel (you can coat the wrap with a high temperature paint or the exhaust prior to wrapping it.. however I'd expect the paint to rub through over time)On a stainless system you've no real worries due to stainless steel being resistant against rust "unless it's a cheap grade etc"Anyway this product is easy to apply, easy to work with & does its job as your expect..Just note upon 1st use you may see & smell burning & see signs of smoke from within your engine bay etc... that only lasts a short time & it's not your car on fire...
