The tool is high quality and beautiful -- well made
The tool is high quality and beautiful -- well made. One problem is that, when the tool is completely assembled, the flashlight attachment is not part of the build. I was hoping that all attachments would be easily and covertly fit into the handle of the shovel, but that's not the case. So, the flashlight stands alone (it can be attached to one of the extensions to make it longer, but can never part of a total build of the tool. My goal was to build this "shovel" and attach it to the outside of my backpack during my hikes on the Appalachian Trail. Unfortunately, the flashlight won't be able to travel this way -- It will have to be packed inside my pack separately. The only other complaint I have is that the company didn't include an instruction document that describes how each part should fit together. Took me a little while to get everything in place and even now, I'm not sure that I built it correctly--it would be a really good idea for the company to provide a "build" job aid of some kind. I am, however, very pleased with my purchase.

Great in theory
Meh, the parts all thread together. Great in theory, but the hammer will not stay tight to the shaft. That makes it fairly useless.

saw blade
why don't they make the saw blade all the way along the side to be a effective saw? with this current design, saw action ends when the end of the saw blade reaches whatever being sawed.If the saw blade is all the way along the shovel side, saw action ends when the last saw teeth leaves whatever being sawed. In any case, longer the saw blade, more effective it is.I noticed all these shove designed in this way like this one. With this price, I would expect it to be improved in this regard.
