Did the job and saved my bacon!
I was almost in tears because I messed up putting a pedal on my son's new bike that we were giving him for christmas. The cranks were carbon and I tried to find a replacement...but couldn't find one. I decided to give these taps a try...and 5 minutes later I WAS crying. In relief. Thanks to Mike...because the left and right tap are not well labeled. The left tap is the one with the chinese letter. (The other tap has no marking). The thread was OK from the back but messed up at the front, so I applied a little grease to the tap and went in from behind. The tap threaded easily and I cranked it until it was all the way through and out about 1/4 inch. I then took the tap out and repeated from the "front" side. The pedal went on easily. Thank goodness. Anyway the taps seemed well made, sharp, and strong.Last thing, to turn the tap, I put it in a socket wrench with an 11mm head on it. The tap fit well into that. Good luck!

Worked really well!
Fixed stripped threads on my nordictrak bike! After a move, the pedal was reinstalled cross threaded and stripped the outer 1/3 of the crank shaft. This tool allowed me to realign the remaining threads and remove the crushed outer threads with minimal tooling.Especially happy with this since the right side crank replacement would have cost $150 and required who knows how long to execute. This took 10 minutes.Recommend you watch a video on repairing before trying—And remember to use oil to facilitate the movement of the tool through the remaining threads. While using, go half a turn and back out a quarter turn and be gentle but firm. Make sure the tool is perfectly aligned with the crank shaft before starting, and don’t force the tool around or you’ll risk completely stripping the entire thing.

The tool to repair inept or uneducated bike mechanics work.
It worked decent and did save the crank.

I was surprised that it actually fixed the thread issue that I was having, and now my bike is working well again.

Good quality, saved my buttooski.
I bought these after, ahem, stripping the pedal threads on my wife’s bike. Rookie mistake but I will say that these things saved my arse and I was able to fix the threads without any problem with this tool. You get one each for the right and left hand pedal and to fix the threads you turn them from the inside out. Use plenty of oil to help the tool work.

Worked like charm
At first I thought I wasted my money, I thought it was just gonna widen the hole an my pedal would no longer fit. Luckily, I was wrong. It fixed my problem in less than 5 minutes and my bike pedal had no issue after the first ride post repair.

Works as advertised
This was exactly what I needed to fix the pedal threads on my YT Jeffsy. Size was spot on, and a good/sturdy tool. As noted in other reviews, it is hard to tell which is the right tap and which is left. To be very specific, the Left tap is the one that has a Chinese symbol (for “left” per google translate) at the end of the serial number on the body of the tap. The right tap has an identical number but no Chinese symbol. Remember to re-thread with clockwise rotations on the right crank and counter clockwise on the left crank! Good luck!
