Excellent value, works fine, seems strong enough. Not had them long enough to see any corrosion.The only thing you can't do is de-tension the wire.

Very good product & service

I bought them for an allotment fence and they seem to be doing the job at the moment. Although they are simple enough to use an instruction leaflet might help.Things to consider:The spindle is a one-way tightener. It is easy enough to figure out which way you need to feed the wire but it may be worth going through it in dry dock before trying it for real.Anyone's guess the best way to anchor these. There is a hole that means they could be screwed to a post but it is quite large and would require a suitably sized bolt or washer. I chose to anchor them using electrical cable round the post. Each wire could then be put in situ and initially tightened by hand before using the tensioner mechanism to finally put some real tension in.

Been up for a year now on our wisteria wall, no weathering. The metal is well treated and should last.

Garden quality not for livestock

I was surprised how small and lightweight these were when they arrived. Having used a good number of them now, I can confirm that they are very strong and easy to use. The ratchet built in saves a lot of hassle when tightening wires, although there seems to be now way to loosen them if needed. But nice to work with and made the job that much quicker.
