A bit bigger than I expected, but works really well
I have 18 YoLink devices/sensors at my house. I love the system and all the various sensors it supports. Everything is very long range RF that has no problem going through exterior and interior walls and floors.I have one of these in the fridge, the other in the freezer. They work very well. It takes about half an hour the first time you put them in place for the reporting and accuracy to stabilize. You can get temp and humidity readings on the app, and some very handy graphs of how temperature changes over time. You can see low/high/average temperatures and lots of historical data. I'm a data geek - I love knowing all about things. You need the inexpensive hub and just one sensor to get started. Lots of bundled deals are available.Like all YoLink sensors, you can set alerts if things fall outside a predetermined range (of temp and humidity in this case). Alerts can be any combination of app alert, text, and email. You get a certain number of free alerts a month, after which you can buy inexpensive 'alert bundles'.You can name all sensors - I use their actual locations in the house/yard so I can instantly see where the problem is. I have two outside sensors - one on the mailbox, the other on a gate. Works over the Internet, not just local wi-fi.Highly recommended if you need such measurements. All the YoLink sensors I have (all 18 of them) have been reliable and consistent. The water sensors have saved me twice now from potentially expensive water leaks (80 year old plumbing). The app even shows battery levels for every sensor. Just magical.

Easy setup. Seem accurate and able to SMS temp messages to cell
SMS feature is free, but they only allow a couple hundred SMS messages for free per month, but if you're getting more than 10, you've obviously got a problem! Also shows temp and humidity graphs which basically tells you approximately when the doors are opened. Worked so well at home, I installed them in the freezer and walkins at my restaurant and the signal does indeed travel through the big metal doors without issue. The phone APP fires up very fast. You can also add other users and specify which temp sensors they can monitor or edit. These are nearly commercial grade and the price is really good. I have used other temp sensors 2x or 3x the cost that had less features. Tested temp performance with digital and analog thermometers and they are +/- 1 degree. The included main Hub/WiFi router is easy to set up and the instructions are well done and intuitive.

Works great!
Bought to interface with my other YoLink stuff which all work great. My neighbor goes down south for a few months a year in the winter and after having some furnace issues, was worried about his furnace crapping out when he was gone. His house is about 300 yards away, so I got this to throw in his house and alert me if the temp dropped below 50F. If it did, I’d let him know and he could call his HVAC guy to fix it while he was out of town. He doesn’t have internet in his house, but I do, so being able to tie this into my hub and use my internet was great. Had great signal at 300 yards plus going through a garage and a few interior walls. Battery life was great for the three months, showing no decline in full power (although I did set it to transmit readings every hour instead of constantly). I only wish their UI for settings was a little more friendly, as there is not much description as to what some of the settings are doing without some trial and error. Other than that, all my YoLink stuff has been great. They use Li ion AA batteries, so when the originals eventually do die, replace them with the same. Alkaline batteries won’t last as long, especially if the sensors are outside during weather shifts. My driveway sensor has been alive for over two years on the original batteries and it alerts about 10 times a day because the turkey and deer seem to enjoy hanging out at the tree it’s mounted to…

Quality Product that just Works
I have purchased many of these YoLink products now because they are super easy to add to the controller, they always work right out of the box, and I have had no issues with them quitting or becoming unresponsive. I have one in my attic, one in the far back of the house measuring a hot tub temp, another under a deck in the back, and yet another INSIDE a freezer - none of them have transmission problems. Fantastic stuff.

Works well except...
These are easy enough to setup and the app is pretty intuitive. The advertised range must be for line of site distance because I have a temp sensor in another building that sometimes works and sometimes does not. A motion sensor placed outside stopped working when it got very cold (-10 F). I bought an outside thermometer that cost extra and out of the box did not work. At all. Would not power up. Returning it was made easy by seller.

Reliable and works great
These is a great system for remote monitoring. They work at a great distance too. I have one unit monitoring my well pump enclosure that's through the woods over 1000' feet away and it still has a strong signal. Alerts me when the temperature gets below freezing (or at whatever limit you choose). Also have one in the freezer so I know if there was a problem while I'm gone for extended periods.

Great Concept but Not Accurate
I purchased this item as I love all the other Yolink items I’ve purchased. I have the water sensors, inside temp sensors, garage door opener and now this. I was so looking forward to this working, but it is way off. Not even anywhere near accurate for our environment. Our temperature outside never gets above 89 degrees, yet yesterday it said it was 97 and today is saying 93 so far. When I look at my watch or weather app, they both say it’s 82-83 degrees. I mean I would be ok with this being one to two degrees off, but more than 10? Hopefully I got a dud, but still very disappointed in the product. I have placed it in different locations around the house too, some in shade and some in the sun…still not accurate in any place.
