Excellent repair kit.
This is a great product, it is easy to use if you follow the instructions to the letter. My wheel was quite rough and the black leather colour was almost white in places. when you apply the colour keep the amount of paint small do not try to apply thick or go back over it. When dry the the finish is very even and looks almost like new, however there was small nibs that you could feel. I got rid of these by very, very, lightly sanding with the 1200 wet and dry supplied. If I did one again Instead of using the sponge supplied I would use the sponge side on a dish washing sponge as it is much fine than the sponge supplied. I have not applied the required leather cream yet as I have to wait 7 days for the paint to cure properly. I am sure the final result will be excellent, A really great product, thanks.

Does the job but the result is not as new
Overall works OK, it does repair the leather, fills imperfections and restores the appearance. However the surface feels slightly harsh on touch â itâs a bit plasticky, hard and doesnât feel like leather anymore. Which probably is expected, but I think needs to be mentioned. Also the kit misses some important items that you will likely need in the process:- cleaner (there is a degreaser, but it is applied after sanding)- masking tape- a pair of glovesMasking is absolutely necessary as paint is supposed to be applied by sponge and itâs quite tricky to get into corners and close to surrounding trim parts, and it is not even mentioned in the instruction. Gloves are also essential as the paint is pretty hard to wash off from hands.Apart from that, this is good kit for the fair price.

Great item
Really good kit. Got a cracking finish on a worn leather vw golf steering wheel. Wheel was shiny and badly worn. A second hand car that was clearly a bit unloved. 5 step kit. Takes a couple of hours in total. I did it on a warm day so the solutions dried really quickly. Did about 6 coats of the leather stain to make sure of a lovely deep black satin finish. Looks great. Bargain at ÂŁ20

Amazing kit!! Over the moon!! đ
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely amazing kitI have a 27 year old toyota trueno GTZ and the car is in fantastic condition but the steering wheel was bugging me like mad and due for a refurb. The steering wheel is an original momo toyota factory steering wheel which is very rare so there was no way I was going to replace it or even try to.I considered a recover but didn't fancy the prices nor the time it would take someone to do it for me so here's where the kit comes in.I've looked at this kit many times in the past and thought can I really be bothered to do all that work and will it last?.From start to finish an I took my time to achieve what i would call an outstanding result which took me just over 4 hours an that's including drying times in-between what ever coat I was doing or after cleaning each time.I let it air dry I didn't use a hairdryer I didn't want to damage any of the internal glue or foam.Make sure you follow the instructions properly and will will achieve amazing results I am over the moon.See before and after pics đsteering wheel was dry to the touch after 10 mins or so on each colour coat and after completing all the steps and 3 coats later I left it for 4 hours to dry before I handled it properly and I will leave it overnight before refitting, I will then apply a leather conditioner cream to protect it.Get this kit follow the steps properly and you will not be disappointed!Points to note:If you have big gouges or deep scratches on your steering wheel you'll need to buy a filler separately.Basic cracks and scratches can be sanded and the leather binder added to smoothen them out then I final sand with the 1200 minimises the marks to the eye it's pretty amazing how it works.I am very happy with the way it turned out an although it isn't absolutely perfect and small imperfections can still be seen up close i still think it adds to its character and age while still looking very impressive overall. It looks solid now to the touch an I believe after a leather conditioner is applied it will last many years to come đTheres still loads left in the bottles, This kit in my book is Top notch and worth every penny.I highly recommend this product and it to top it off the service was fantastic and it was delivered in 24 hours! Thanks for reading and If you like this review please give it the thumbs up đđ»

Excellent restoration kit for a good finish without need for a re-trim!
I wanted to preserve the original look of my steering wheel, so I decided to try this restoration kit and I couldnât be happier with the results. My previously shiny and worn steering wheel now has a matte finish that looks brand new and perfectly complements the rest of my carâs interior. Itâs breathed new life into the wheel without the need for an expensive re-trim.As someone whoâs very particular about finishes, I was thoroughly impressed by the outcome. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow, making the process quick and hassle-free. Once the product dried, the finish initially felt slightly rough, but it smoothed out nicely after a few days of regular use.One tip: when applying the paint, dab it on multiple times, even if it looks like youâve covered everything. Allow it to dry between coats for the best results.

Not truly an "all-in-one kit"
This kit is definitely not a complete âall-in-oneâ solution as described. The included degreaser isnât strong enough to tackle built-up grimeâespecially on heavily used or greasy leather like a gear knob. Youâll almost certainly need a proper leather cleaner as well. Also, the number of sponges provided is limited; youâll likely need extras to get the job done properly. The kit has some useful elements, but be prepared to supplement it if you want good results.
